Bionomics
Lowland and valley species that prefers deep, cool, semi-open large bodies of water with some emergent or floating vegetation in open sunlight to moderate shade. Habitats include canals, large open marshes, large stream pools and rice fields (Harrison and Scanlon 1975).

Medical Importance
