Anopheles pullus


		Author: Yamada 1937:238 (M, F, P, L, E). Keiki-do and South Tyuseido, Chosen, Korea (IID) Distribution Korea Synonyms yatsushiroensis* Miyazaki. Type-loc: Yatsushiro City, Kumamoto Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan (KU). 1951:195 (M, F, E). Ohmori 1957:209 (M, E). Ohmori 1959:222 (P). Otsuru and Ohmori 1960:50 (M, F, P, L, E; keys). Hong and Ree 1968:118 (M, F; distr.). Bionomics A. pullus breeds in rather cool water of about 19°C and wherein Potamogetan crispus L., Najas graminen Del., Ceratophylum demersum L. etc. grow. The larvae begin to develop in April and May. In July and August larvae of pullus are found in only in cool springs or ponds in the shade of trees on highland (Yamada 1937).
