Bionomics
Larvae are found in clean water with emergent vegetation and algae, including ditches, marshes, shallow wells and cement tanks and rock pools containing algae (Knight and Hurlbut 1949, Belkin 1962).

Medical Importance
Vector status in the Philippines is unknown. In New Guinea it is an important vector of W. bancrofti (Belkin 1962).
